My Belief
Young people are well-positioned to grow their money and live incredible lives financially. By providing access to basic, reliable information on personal finance, I hope to help my peers become financially savvy. I write articles covering fundamental finance concepts and build web-based calculators. This will allow readers to apply these concepts to their own lives.
About Me
My name is Evan Lawler. I am an engineer by day and personal finance enthusiast by nights and weekends. I am a 24-year-old who recently graduated from college. Like many of my peers, I am dealing with balancing student loans, and new expenses while working a corporate job for the first time. Since high school, I have consumed seemingly endless amounts of content on personal finance. I found it difficult at first to wade through an ocean of financial influencers with seemingly conflicting advice. I was overly cautious at times fearing that everything was a scam. Thankfully through hundreds of hours of research I came to a powerful conclusion:
IT IS NOT THAT HARD
In fact, a young person with even limited exposure to personal finance has the opportunity to prepare better and accomplish more than those who earn more but are less informed. Conventional financial advice can be extremely costly. By sharing articles and calculators for free, I hope to empower my readers with the tools to make small but profound changes to their financial lives.
